Mike Terry is a businessman and philanthropist. At age 26, after his father's death, Mike took over operations of the family pest control business. Mike operated and eventually owned the business from 1972 until 1997, turning it into a leading business force in North Texas known as Terminix, Inc. After selling Terminix in the late 1990's, Mike started M. Terry Enterprises, Inc. where he is still the President and CEO, and in 2006 he co-founded The Mike and Mary Terry Family Foundation.
Tom Gilbert, CPA
Tom began his career with Dallas-based CPA firm, Saville, Dodgen & Company. He specialized in income tax planning, compliance and financial advisory services for closely held companies and high net worth individuals. In eight years, Tom became a partner of the firm and, in 2003, Tom became the managing partner of the firm. In 2006, Tom took on the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer for M. Terry Enterprises, Inc. which manages the Terry family's investments and holdings.
Steven Schultz, J.D., MBA
Steve is a multi-disciplinary executive with broad experience in establishing and directing core business strategies in large, national public hotel companies. Steve has extensive experience as a senior office in charge at Choice Hotels Intl. and La Quinta of a variety of functions including legal, real estate, development, franchise sales, architecture, design, construction, renovation, purchasing, quality assurance, brand management/development, franchise operations, market planning (feasibility analysis) and strategic planning. Steve provides valuable direction in the construction and development side of the senior apartment and assisted living projects.
John Mather, Ph. D., MBA
John is the current Executive Director of the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. John teaches graduate courses in business-to-business marketing research, strategic positioning and planning, integrated marketing communications, new product development, segmentation strategies and marketing of technology. John has an MBA from Ohio University and a Ph. D. from the University of Arizona.
